My kitsch leather jacket

No les ha pasado que tienen algo en su closet, que no quieren regalar por que les gusta, pero que por "x" o "y" nunca usan… ¿Si?… ¡Pues a mi también! Así que ahí les va la historia:
Esta leather jacket la tenía desde hace añoooosss, (la verdad es que mi mamá me la compró cuando estaba en prepa… Imagínense; hace uuuffff!!!) pero casi no la usaba, porque sentía que le faltaba algo. Así que me di a la tarea de buscar parches cool, que pudiera añadir fácilmente y le dieran ese giro que necesitaba.

Busque en tiendas vintage, online y marcas fast fashion. Los míos es una mezcla de Steve Madden, Anh Vintage y Brandy Melville… La clave es encontrar parches con los que te identifiques y que hablen de tu personalidad. Jajaja obvio cuando vi el de "kiss me I'm Mexican" no me pude resistir.

Además, la mayoría de los parches son de uso fácil. Solo los planchas y ¡listo! A mi en lo personal me gusta coserlos por que así están más seguros y evito perderlos. Pero, si la aguja y el hilo no son lo tuyo, te recomiendo que de vez en cuando vuelvas a planchar tu pieza, solo para darles un retoque…

Ahora mi hobby será buscar nuevos parches y hacer de mi leather jacket mi pieza kitsch. Además cada uno será un anécdota y que mejor que tener prendas con historias que contar… a ustedes ¿cuál les gustó más?

Have you ever have this piece at your closet that you haven’t throw it out because you reaaally like but you never use? Hahaha me too!! I always picture myself wearing it the next week and honestly that day NEVER happen. So here’s the story with this leather jacket:

My mom bought it for me yeeeeeeaaarsss agooo!! (Is a high-school piece, so you can imagine how “vintage” is hahaha) I never used before, until a few weeks ago. I felt there was something missing. So I turned it into my little DIY project. I looked for cool patches that match my style and personality. Of course, the "kiss me I'm Mexican" one, had my name on it as soon as I saw it at the vintage store.

I researched online and in-store. Mines are a mix between: Steve Madden, Anh Vintage y Brandy Melville. All of them are super easy to use. Just steam and you’re ready to go!. I personally like to sew them just to be safe. But if you are not into that, my recommendation is steam or iron them once in a while to keep them in their place.

Now, my new hobby is find cool patches for my kitsch leather jacket. Every of them will have a background... ‘Cuz, who doesn't love a piece with a story to tell?…
